Print: Time Magazine - "Time 100" Sarah Palin
Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin comes in at number nine on Time 100's list of leaders. To honor Palin's placement, Time picked brazen conservative rock-star Ted Nugent to drop a few words of worship.
Here's some of what "The Nuge" had to say:
If Sarah Palin played a loud, grinding instrument, she would be in my band. The independent patriotic spirit, attitude and soul of our forefathers are alive and well in Sarah. In the way she lives, what she says and how she dedicates herself to make America better in these interesting times, she represents the good, while exposing the bad and ugly.
Palin has talked with Nugent before on an Alaskan broadcast of Michael Dukes' "Firearms Friday" show, shortly after announcing her resignation as governor last July. She also appeared alongside the rocker at a Texas Gov. Rick Perry rally back in February.
Sarah Palin was also asked to give her own tribute in a Time 100 segment on fellow conservative activist Glenn Beck. She called Beck, who finished 12th on the "Leaders" list, an "inspiring patriot who was once at the bottom but now makes a much needed difference from the very, very top."
