Mr. Nugent is contacted by hundreds of folks each month. A Michigan teacher reached out to Tedquarters recently regarding Christopher, a special student who has proven himself to be not only enormously talented, but truly inspirational as well. Here is that exchange:

I am also pleased to hear of your defiant spirit & attitude to never give up & pursue the writing & music celebration to cleanse the soul! We salute you for your courage and undying drive to be the best that you can be in order to take care of your responsibilities. Godbless you sir!

Dear Ted,

I was so happy to get your email thank you for it. I have been a fan of yours for years. I have played many of your songs I think my favorite is Stranglehold. Your email is full of encouragement written the way that only Ted Nugent can tell it.
 
When I fell from the tree stand I landed backwards on my tail bone and shattered seven vertebrae and was instantly paralyzed from the waist down. As I laid there for 3 or 4 hours (not really sure) I was going in and out of conciseness and had been coughing up blood for quite some time. As darkness fell the coyote's must of smelled the blood and started to come in on me and were yippin and circling me and I knew that they were about to show them selves. I grabbed my knife from the pocket and decided I was not gonna go like this and stayed awake and alert ready to fight and just then my wife came through the woods with the truck and scared them off. I am not telling you this because I think I am some sort of bad ass because I am not. I am and always will be a fighter who will always fight the good fight and I see things to the end. I will never ever concede I just wanted you to know that because from watching you I can tell you are the same. I am honored to be your BloodBrother because we share the same love and passion for life.

You are right, every day is a gift. You have no idea how many lives you have effected and by living a clean lifestyle with out depending on any sort of drugs or alcohol you have sent a positive message to all of your fans and listeners me included. I also know you love your family and I am a family man to. How many people especially celebrities sign their letters "& family" none I know of. Don't ever change!
