Army Garrison-MICHIGAN
Detroit--The "Motor City Madman" Ted Nugent and Palace Sports & Entertainment recently joined forces by donating tickets to help support service members of the U.S. Army Garrison-Michigan MWR (Moral, Welfare & Recreation department) located at Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Michigan.
Working closely with the military is nothing new to The Nuge. Ted and his wife Shemane have established the Freedom's Angels Foundation,
which provides assistance to our brave troops. In conjunction with the Foundation, the Nugents have appeared at military bases across the nation, and are working directly with Fort Hood & the Brooks Army Medical Center-- particularly the Amputee Care Unit--to assist their fellow Texans. In 1994, Ted tour the Middle East with Toby Keith & the USO. And in recent months, Nugent has to provide troops with more than 2000 tickets and backstage passes to his performances across the country.
"In these desperate times of the War on Terrorism, I am proud to represent the USO and various charities saluting the hero warriors of the U.S. Military," stated Nugent. "As we do every night across this great land, we wish to invite the military heroes and their families to celebrate our ultimate hi-energy Motown Rock & Roll.
