TED NUGENT HELPS BREAK FUNDRAISING RECORD
On Saturday, August 4, 2007, the Evansville chapter of the Friends of NRA conducted a fundraiser banquet, which was attended by over 650 people. One of the featured items was a guitar autographed by Ted Nugent, which certainly drew a crowd and it's fair share of attention. Thanks in no small part to Ted's assistance, the event had gross income of over $100,000, and netted over $50,000. The money raised by these events is given to non-profit youth organizations, with emphasis on the future of shooting sports. The event was huge by any standards, and is by far the largest to date in Indiana, which hosts 25 such events annually. Most such banquets bring in approximately $6,000. In appreciation of Ted's assitance, the chapter will be sending a donation to Freedom's Angels.
Our thanks to Ted for his ongoing assistance in our fundraising efforts. Two years ago, Ted donated a personally guided boar hunt to Friends of NRA which also raised thousands of dollars for needy youth organizations and the future of shooting sports.
