I get around. I hang out with a lot of people, people of every imaginable ethnicity, color, social economic strata, all walks of life, people of the “melting pot.” They’re my people. We all get along handsomely. You can’t pull off more than 6,500 hyper intense rock ‘n’ roll concerts in 50-some years and avoid your fellow man – especially when you’re as loveable and gregarious as I am. I didn’t invent “sweetheart,” but I dare say I have perfected it.
As I hit the road for my new SHUTUP&JAM! record of lovesongs and tour of the same name with my dangerous band of virtuoso soulbrothers, I am compelled to bring my fellow conservatives (can the writer of “Wang Dang Sweet Poontang” really be considered a conservative anything?) a powerful, inescapable reminder that our logic and evidence-driven common sense remain both common and sensible across the land.
We are not alone.
Today has been a perfect example of why my confidence cup doth runneth over, and why yours should as well.
Flying across Texas and then to London and on to Copenhagen for a roustabout high-energy rockout for a few hundred thousand unsuspecting Euros who clamor for the Nugent freedom soundtrack, spirit and attitude we always bring them, I find the gushing support with which I am constantly bombarded everywhere I go stunning, to say the least.
And I am not talking about casual “thank you’s” here, either. I’m talking about many people everywhere going out of their way to very emotionally thank me for “standing up for what my family believes in” and variations on that theme.
Pretty much every uniformed cop and military person makes it a point to tell me how much they appreciate my columns here at WND.com and at the assorted blogs, websites, magazine writings, print interviews, radio and television interviews I conduct, where they hear accurate, bold, no-holds-barred articulation of exactly what they believe in and are convinced needs to be said.
So, your logic, my logic, logical logic is alive and well in America and beyond, but it’s sadly being spat upon by a Saul Alinsky/Joseph Goebbels assault from the lying left, liberal Democrats and their lapdog media.
I don’t know if there really is a majority of Americans that think they have a right to things they don’t earn, or if the corrupt powers that be have so perfected a fraudulent voting scam to create this mess, but I am here to tell you that the best, most productive, common-sense Americans and people all over the world I travel stand with us and are ready, willing and able to stand stronger every day as we witness the criminal atrocities of a government gone mad.
Only America-hating fools accept Fast and Furious, Benghazi, the IRS and VA crimes, NSA abuses, the “all of the above” energy lies, the Obamacare constitutional violation, the Fort Hood “workplace violence” lie, the criminal Second Amendment infringements in California, Illinois, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Maryland, Delaware and elsewhere.
Then there’s the releasing of gangs of illegal invaders including murderers, rapists, carjackers, child molesters, armed robbers, vicious assailants and all kinds of dangerous criminals into our neighborhoods. Good Americans are aghast at our president turning loose five hardened, murdering terrorists to kill Americans again in trade for one Army deserter. The whole world looks at America and cannot believe what they see.
Only apathy-infested sheep accept the insanity of the death tax, the entire tax system for that matter, the suicidal educational debacle, the jackbooted thuggery of federal agencies out of control, the job-and-economy-destroying energy policy fiasco, the racist attorney general, the bizarre zombie behavior of Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Dianne Feinstein, Barbara Boxer, Sheila Jackson Lee, Durbin, Cuomo, Schumer et al.
To hear these crazy people talk is scary to the average American who gets up early to work harder and be more productive just so their earnings will be robbed and go to people who refuse to earn.
The anger and frustration I hear and witness daily, hourly in my travels is heartbreaking. These people know what Ted Nugent stands for, and they thank me for voicing their beliefs. They know I am radical in a world of sheep, daring to perform my “we the people” duties, and they know it will take extreme measures to push back these extreme people in these extreme times.
Now, if we could only find a statesman, a real leader, someone not afraid to say out loud that the emperor has no clothes and that we are sick and tired of looking at his fat, bloated, wart-riddled ass, and we want our country back.
I will shut up and jam when it’s time to rock, but I will never back down from my responsibilities as an American. I ask not what my country can do for me, but rather, I demand of myself and my entire family and team to do everything we possibly can to be an asset for our country. The alternative is putrid, and it’s making us sick.
