Where oh where does one begin to list the endless gifts that we are to be thankful for as Americans?
ThanXgiving is indeed a very special occasion in America, and everybody I know makes a supreme effort to show sincere appreciation and gratitude for all the blessings we have in this Last Best Place on earth.
I start out each day of my life looking to the heavens in absolute awe at this miracle of life and the God given individual rights and freedoms we have in this unique experiment in self-government we call the United States of America.
I am extremely thankful that we designate a special day each November to celebrate all that is wondrous.
I am most thankful that I am an American and we defied the abject status quo of the world and threw off the shackles of tyranny way back in our founding.
I thank God each day for the wisdom and courage of our Founding Fathers who crafted the US Constitution and Bill of Rights to guide the opening volley for mankind for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
We should be very thankful that there are superior human beings called warriors who have fought and died to keep America free.
Be thankful for the US Military, law enforcement and first responders everywhere.
I thank God everyday that I was born in Detroit, Michigan way back in 1948 in the Arsenal of Democracy and raised by loving, disciplining parents in a home full of love and direction.
It really is the simplest of things that I am most thankful for, important things like a loving family, great friends, constantly available quality food, a roof over my head, hot and cold running water, toilets, thermostats, ovens, refrigerators, guitars, guns, sporting goods, abundant, thriving wildlife, the NRA, and clever entrepreneurs always coming up with amazing life enhancing products and ideas.
I give serious thanks for dogs, for my 71 years has been immeasurably enhanced by the many loving, loyal dogs I have been blessed with.
I am so very thankful to have been born at the ultimate time in history when Chuck Berry, Bo Diddly, Little Richard and so many outrageous musical forces created the best, most important music in the history of the world and inspired me to swandive into their sonic melee.
I thank God for all the die-hard, real music lovers around the world who continue all these glorious years to join me in the celebration of my American Rock-N-Roll soundtrack to rugged individualism and defiant independence.
I thank God for all the incredibly gifted virtuosos who have blessed me with their musical prowess and genius in the creation and unleashing of my personal musical dreams.
I thank God for Fred Bear who accepted me as his friend and hunting buddy, helping to nurture, guide and inspire my amazing bowhunting dreams.
I thank God for His miraculous creation where nature and wildlife provide everything we could possibly need in life.
For ThanXgiving 2019, I am most thankful for President Donald J. Trump, for here is a great man who re-ignited the America First battlecry, and is blessed with an energy, vision and tenacity to overcome the heartbreaking tragedy of the runaway status quo corruption and abuse of power that was destroying America before he came along.
Give absolute thanks everyday America. Even on our worse day, we have it way better than anyone else anywhere else, and we have a president that fights for we the people everyday.
